La Tourterie is a small hamlet about 1 km outside the sleepy village of Montemboeuf where you will find a boulangerie, charcuterie, post office, bank, Spar grocery shop, and 2 cafe/bars. With 15 minutes each are the towns of La Rochefoucauld, Chasseneuil and Montbron each with large supermarkets, bars, restaurants and all other usual amenities
